Each Buffalo Fur Coat is hand tailored to your unique specifications. We capture 12 measurements to ensure your Buffalo Fur Coat fits perfectly. Guaranteed! Using prime winter buffalo hides, each coat is hand-matched and no two coats are alike.

Natural warmth and beauty

Bison fur is some of the warmest fur in nature. Warmer and more durable than sheep’s wool, it is naturally insulating to keep you warm on the coldest of days. Merlin’s Hide Out Buffalo Fur Coats feature leather loop closures with elk horn buttons handmade in our shop. Each coat also includes an ample bison fur collar that can be turned up for additional warmth. To help keep your hands toasty, the coat features two fur lined exterior pockets.

To make each buffalo fur coat, we hand-match two complete buffalo hides with similar color and texture. Once the hides are matched, we cut the back piece first, followed by the front pieces, arms, and collar. Each piece is hand cut to guarantee matching seams, color, and texture. After cutting, all pieces are gently tumbled to bring out the buffalo fur’s natural fluffiness. Finally, each coat is sewn together by Merlin. Every buffalo fur coat is unique, with beautifully natural one-of-a-kind color variations and texture.
