Thick and very soft gorgeous rug. Love it!

I was not only fortunate enough to find this amazing store, but was also able to meet and make friends with the even more amazing store owners, Barb and The Merlin! Before leaving town, I decided needed one of these hats and thought, “it’s close to Christmas, and I still needed something for my brother and brother-in-law,” so I picked up 3 matching buffalo trapper hats. The quality is amazing, they are incredibly warm and fit perfectly. I love wearing it (showing it off), when it’s cold enough, it’s a great conversation starter, and I can’t say enough about these folks, their store, and the awesome little town of Thermopolis, Wyoming. The look on the face of the other two when they opened them up and tried them on was so worth it, probably the best and definitely my most favorite gifts I’ve ever given! My only regret is not getting us matching buffalo beards, but now I have another reason to go back!

The children's moccasins were a hit with the expecting parents. And the Bison pillow looks great in my Game and pool room.

I've had one of these hats years ago when I served in the army up in Alaska extremely warm and Sub-Zero temperatures the beaver is in a good quality and I like the fact that it's lined on the inside with a wool lining this just gives added warmth the price was about the same that I paid for it in Alaska back in 1980 which was surprising to me I think I got a great deal these days I would have been willing to pay a lot more very happy with the hat I'll keep your products in mind in the future

I love this Bison hide… I think about the life that was under it, and I think about the history of Native peoples who relied on Bison for their livelihood. It is so well tanned and cared for… I will treasure this.

I ordered a large hide and a large pillow and received it within a week. I placed the hide and pillow in a spare bedroom for a week so it could become accustomed to the humidity and temperature of my house. Both were extremely soft and odorless and I am now considering another purchase. You can’t go wrong doing business with Merlin’s Hideout. Thanks!

Pelt is over 48” from tail to nose, with thick back and tail fur. Using it for hanging on the wall of a theatrical set. Couldn’t be happier, and will shop with Merlin again.
